Speaking, Presentations, & Workshops

My primary goals as a writer and speaker are to make the arts more accessible to diverse audiences and to help creative individuals succeed. My presentation style combines engaging images with humorous, jargon-free storytelling. I have given presentations at the Currier Museum of Art, the Cleveland Institute of Art, milk* ad agency, the WPA Gallery in Washington DC, Keene State University, the Dublin School, and more. In 2017 I was the recipient of the Wampler Art Professorship at James Madison University, where I gave a campus lecture about remixing and appropriation in art. I have also made numerous appearances as a cultural commentator on New Hampshire Public Radio’s Word of Mouth, conducted workshops with writers, visual artists, and art students, and given tours of art shows and cultural sites. You can read my full bio and CV here. If you’d like to hire me to speak to your organization, classroom, or business, please email me. I’d love to hear from you.
